How To Format A Partition Using Command Prompt

You can Format any HDD partition or Removable Drive using command prompt.
Following are the steps to do it.

STEPS -

• Open 'Command Prompt' (Open Run by pressing [Windows key + R] )
• Type 'cmd' (without quotes) in text box and click on OK.
• Command Prompt will open.
• Now type the text below in Command Prompt and hit Enter key.
  
  FORMAT X: /FS:FAT32 /Q /V:FlashDrive
  
  This will format the drive using FAT32 file system and label the drive as 'FlashDrive'.
  
  Replace X: with the actual letter of your pen drive
  
  If you want more help on this command, type FORMAT /? in the command prompt.
