We store all our movies, favorite songs, photos and even important stuff in our computers. And all that precious data is nothing less than a casket of treasure for us.
Can you imagine if one day all that data gets vanished and you don't even have its backup?

Data recovery is an important technique which everyone should know, no matter you're a techie or novice at computers.
This happens often when we accidentally delete our data or one of our partition gets corrupted and all data gets deleted.
Yesterday, my friend, Janice lost all data on her SD card so I'm writing this tutorial so that people like her can recover their data safely and easily. This article will teach you to recover data from Hard Disks, Flash Drives, memory cards and other common storage devices in major Operating Systems (Windows, Mac, GNU/Linux).

Recuva is my favorite software for recovering data in Windows. I have personally used this software hundreds of times and it has saved me from massive disasters. This is the first option if you're a Windows user.

This is also a great software which recovers files as well as repairs Windows system, recovers broken partitions and creates rescue disks.

> EaseUS - Website

This software comes FREE and well as PAID for Mac devices. It can easily recover data and rescue your ass.

There are also other paid softwares for OSX like DiskWarrior and Data Rescue 4

> Safecopy - This is a great tool. It copies your recovered data to a safe place.
